One World of Friends

Spend time helping people in your community by volunteering your hours and service. This meetup should be a central place where people and non-profit organizations can submit ideas and enlist the help of other people in the community. Considering this is a new meetup, I can only guess at the possiblities. It could range from helping a homeless shelter move furniture to reading to senior citizens in assisted living to starting a food drive for an animal shelter. Who knows? Once the ideas are submitted, it should be discussed and decided upon. At that point, the volunteers in this meetup can decide to participate. This may involve one Saturday per month helping the community. Projects will likely be short term and will not involve money. Our time and energy is our most valuable resource. Email me if you are interested in volunteering. Email me if you are an individual in need of help or a typical non-profit in need of help.

Spring Service Day
We will be helping the frail/disabled and/or chronically ill seniors with their house or yard cleaning.
When: Saturday, June 7 from 9-12
Where: We will get our exact assignment locations and additional instructions during the week of May 26.
