Details
This is another opportunity to give some inspiration, hope, and friendship to children who have cancer. I found a website that has addresses to children that have cancer so that we can actually develop pen pals with children and know who we are sending them to so that we can personalize our letters a little more.
And don't worry if you're not particularly artistic! The kids will just love getting cards from you, so please don't hesitate to join if you have an interest in doing so! I know we're going to have lots of fun creating these cards and know that we're making someone's day a little brighter. :)
What to bring: Please bring any markers, crayons, stencils, stickers, rulers, paper (including construction paper), paper punches, tape, or anything else that you can contribute. If any of you are into scrapbooking and could bring some of your supplies, that would be excellent! I will have some markers, crayons, printer paper, scissors, and some other odds and ends that we can use, but the more items you can bring to add to it, the better!
Also: This will be an after-dinner sort of event, but anyone who would like to bring munchies is welcome to, it would be greatly appreciated! I will provide some 2-liters of pop for anyone who wants, so we'll definitely have some stuff to drink.
Please note: I set the cap for this meeting at 15 people but there is only seating here for maybe 8, so please be prepared to have a floor seat or bring your own fold-able chair with you! I'm a big fan of 'the more the merrier' so I wanted to give as many people the opportunity to attend as possible.
Last but not least, the date/time/location are still somewhat subject to change, so please check back later to confirm! (There's a chance I might change this to a potluck event since we're getting a grill here soon and the weather is getting nicer. Feel free to e-mail me or leave a comment if you would prefer the potluck dinner idea.)

"This was a fantastic (and overwhelmingly sad by no fault of Libby) idea. I'm truly impressed by the research Libby did to find this website. We could make a huge impact on a bunch of families with a little time and creativity. We should definitely do it again soon."
