Information for Operation Summer Care and Comfort

As the summer months are approaching in Iraq and Afghanistan, we are receiving letters from our good soldiers, that they are fighting a good fight, and they are in need of items not provided by the US military.

There is a Mega Blast party being planned. This will be the summer kick off blast for everyone, May 17, 2008 from 11 am to 10 pm. All sorts of games and contests will be going on throughout the tournament.

EDIT: For clarification, as I guess there is some confusion. The pool tournament will be going on from approximately 11 am to 5 pm. There will be solo acts on the patio during the day. There will be fun and games going on throughout the day at different times. At 9 pm there will be a live band and it is PARTY TIME! There will be donations accepted throughout the event. We are expecting a huge turnout for this event!

Mark your calender and while you do so, please join us as an entertainment committee member. The reward for doing so is knowing that someones brother, mother, father, sister, daughter, son, or best friend is receiving the items that they need while serving our country.

We are having a final planning meeting for this event. Please join us an bring any prize donations you have. We will be finalizing decorating plans, volunteer duties, etc.
ALL PROCEEDS FROM THE MAY 17 EVENT WILL GO TO THE SOLDIERS WHO ARE KEEPING US FREE. Proceeds will be used to send packages in memorial of LCpl Richard Scott Bailey (Scotty), 18 of Phoenix, Arizona passed away on April 21, 2008. Scotty was killed in a tragic car accident this weekend and his family is very passionate about the mission of Packages From Home.
