Pets for Vets, a national 501(c)3 organization, is an entirely volunteer run organization that has chapters throughout the US, and most recently in Chicago. ARFhouse Chicago (Animal Refuge Foundation) is a no-kill all volunteer animal shelter in Chicago. In August 2007, we celebrated our one year anniversary. In addition to helping place homeless animals, our goal is to lower the homeless pet population and the number of animals euthanized. Connections for Abused Women and their Children (CAWC) is one of Chicago's oldest and largest domestic violence organizations.
